Permit to Work

Portsmouth Commercial Port operates a robust Permit to Work system designed to exercise maximum control over work undertaken by third party contractors within the Port boundaries.

The system allows a contractor to be fully aware of the inherent dangers of working in the Port and provides useful contact and emergency information.

Port users must ensure any contractors they invite to carry out work at the Port forward a Risk Assessment and Method Statement to the Port prior to their arrival. Failure to do so will result in delays and possible refusal of entry into the Port. Click here for useful documentation:
