With sleek lines and contemporary styling, Artania offers a prestige cruise experience. This large ship caters for a mostly German clientele and is run by Phoenix Reisen travel company based in Bonn. With seven bars, three restaurants (serving international cuisine), two pools, a whirlpool and spa, a cinema and show lounge, as well as two internet cafes and a library, there is plenty of onboard activity and entertainment to supplement excursions ashore.
As a child-free ship, Artania is ideally suited to older couples. She started life as the Royal Princess and was named by Diana, Princess of Wales at a ceremony in 1984. She made more history in 2010 when, named Artemis, her British captain Sarah Breton became only the second woman in the world to captain a major cruise ship.
