The Norman Spirit is a modern superferry. Fitted with stabilisers, it provides optimal comfort whatever the sailing conditions.

Crossing time: 7 hours 30 minutes

  • There is a range of venues to shop, eat and drink, including a self-service restaurant, coffee lounge and Dirty Duck pub.
  • The Cotton Club lounge with leather sofas and armchairs is available to passengers booking onboard accommodation.
  • There are 80 comfortable cabins or luxurious Sleeper Seats.
  • You’ll also find extensive outside decks, a children’s play area, internet access and a games arcade.

Norman Arrow

Portsmouth to Le Havre summer high-speed service in 3hrs 15mins

The Norman Arrow catamaran is the largest ever fast ferry to operate on cross-Channel routes between England and France.

Capacity: 1,200 passengers, 417 cars and freight
Crossing time: 3 hours 15 minutes

On board:

  • You’ll find a bar, café, bistro and shop
  • A seat is guaranteed for every passenger
  • All types of tourist traffic are carried, including caravans, motor homes, coaches, motorbikes and foot passengers, plus freight.


The Norman Arrow is the world’s largest diesel-powered catamaran and first Incat 112m craft to operate in Europe.

It is also the first freight-carrying high-speed vessel to cross the Western Channel.
