The start of the Moroccan Citrus season has seen the arrival of a fresh new caller at Portsmouth International Port.
Seago Line’s “Max Winner” berthed at the start of November, part of a new weekly service from North Africa. It’s expected the produce from Agadir in Morocco will continue to arrive in Portsmouth each Thursday for up to eight months.
At 161 metres long the 9 year old container vessel easily docked at Portsmouth International Port. “Max Winner” was loaded with 2,500 tonnes of citrus fruit and tomatoes, all expertly handled by the staff at MMD Ltd and destined for British supermarket shelves.
