Le Havre

In 2005, Le Havre was declared a world heritage site for its post war-era architecture. The Normandy bombings destroyed much of the city, which has seen it completely restored since.

• The town’s own beach is located just 500 metres away from the town centre and stretches for over two kilometres
• The beautiful city of Honfleur is only 24km away, which is a short half an hour journey in the car.

• The Cathedral was built in 1536, and is the seat of the Bishop of Le Havre
• Church of St. Joseph, one of the most recognized symbols of the city. The bell tower is one of the tallest in France, rising to a height of 106 metres. It was designed by Auguste Perret
• The Musée des Beaux-Arts André Malraux, is a strikingly modern building housing a range of impressionist art, including Monet, for all keen art lovers!
• Foot and cycle paths run along the coast, allowing for wonderful views from all areas.
