NOTIFICATION OF CHARGING POLICY FOR LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from 01 January 2003 it will be the policy of the Queen's Harbour Masters Department to charge for the release of Local Notice to Mariners into the public domain for commercial or recreational purposes.
Persons or organisations sponsoring notifiable events, such as Racing, Surveying or Dredging for example, should initially contact the Port Surveyor in writing, by email (dnbsportsvyr@a.dii.mod.uk) or by phone on 02392 723402 to determine whether notification is required.
Initially the charge will be £150 plus VAT per individual Local Notice to Mariners released. This fee is a token numeration to cover, some of the Advertising and administrations burden encumbered by the MOD. It will be our policy to review the charge on a yearly basis. If deemed necessary to publish a LNTM an invoice will be forwarded to the event sponsor.
