Jersey, Hamptonne

Celebrating Jersey's heritage of apple cultivation and cider making, the annual two-day event at Hamptonne is great fun for all ages. Visitors to the site can see the magnificent spectacle of tonnes of apples being crushed in the traditional way, using a horse to turn the granite wheel in the cider crusher, and then watch the juice extracted on the twin-screw wooden press, both housed in the cider barn.
